Bill Richards and co-driver John Morrow, competing Minispares-Mad Dog Rallying, will again be campaigning their 1965 Morris Cooper S on the 2011 Rally Monte Carlo Historique. The car, which is owned by John was rebuilt in 2001 as a BMC works replica at Bill Richards Racing.

Currently the car is undergoing  a full refit in BRR workshops and anyone is welcome to come along and have a look.

For 2011 it will have new suspension and brake components, a full engine and gearbox rebuild and new navigation equipment.

In addition the Mini will have available three full sets of studded Maxsport M&S winter tyres for snow and ice covered stages as well a set of Yokohama AO32R boots for normal road conditions. The team’s next task is, when the weather permits, to fly to Nice in the south of France, drive the rally routes and make pace notes.
